According to sub-section 2.2.3.1.1 Comment 2 of the ADR, RID, and ADN, a flash-point limit of 100C applies to UN No. 1202. Because these criteria are not listed in the ICAO TI, the substance is not assigned to Class 3.
However, according to the CONCAWE studies, classification as an environmentally hazardous substance is recommended. There is no evidence to suggest that the substance should not be assigned to UN No. 3082.
However, if specific test data that result in a different classification according to the criteria for classification according to 2;9.2.1 a) of the ICAO TI are available, these test results shall be applied as a priority.

In the State variation of Germany DE 5 (ICAO TI or DEG 05 IATA DGR), it is specified that all substances classified as "environmentally hazardous" in accordance with the provisions of other modes of transportation (UN3077/3082) must also be transported by air under this entry. Of course, this classification can be chosen only if the substance cannot be assigned to any entry of Classes 1-8 or any other entry of Class 9. The consignor reserves the right to make further specifications.
